The Kelmsley Team loved being part of Suzanne and Rich's big day, providing both delicious food and unique floristy services, with a stunning plum and silver colour theme, lots a sparkle and rustic touches, we wanted to share some photos and insight from the Bride to inspire you!
What was the theme of your wedding, if you had one, and why?
Only the colour – plum and silver.
What did you find most challenging when planning your wedding, and what did you do to rise to that challenge?
Not organising it all straight away – I like to be in control and plan ahead!
Tell us about your gorgeous dress! Why did you choose it?
I love sparkle so having tried on a few dresses I loved this due to the fact it was so me – with sparkle!
What was your bespoke menu?
Sussex smoked organic salmon with red onion, fennel & dill ‘slaw, watercress & sunflower seeds
Slow-cooked Sussex lamb shank with roast garlic mash, tender stem broccoli & red wine reduction
Trio of desserts; double chocolate brownie, New York cheesecake, strawberries and cream
What drinks did you serve?
Mojio and Pimms for after the ceremony. Wine at the wedding breakfast with an apple shot surprise!
What was the inspiration behind your flowers and decorations?
Flowers were chosen due to the fact I love Roses and I like Gerberas. After discussion, Kelmsley helped advise what worked best for time of year and size that would look good in a bouquet. Very impressed – they looked amazing.
What was your favourite moment of your wedding day and why?
Everything – the day went like clockwork, my favourite people were there and the weather was perfect!
What advice would you give to future Brides and Grooms?
Do what makes you happy. It’s easy to get co-erced and steam rollered by relatives and close friends. It’s your day. Also take time out during the day, just the two of you to catch up, breathe and enjoy.
Suzanne and Rich also had some unique touches, see more photos below - we loved the vintage barrels!
